FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Calgary Apollo Softball Association (CASA) League is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all 2SLGBTQ+ individuals who are passionate about softball. We understand that financial barriers can sometimes prevent people from participating in sports leagues. To address this challenge, we are proud to offer a financial assistance program to help eligible 2SLGBTQ+ individuals 18 years and older living in the Calgary Metropolitan Area cover the costs associated with joining our league.
The due date for applications to the 2026 financial assistance program has passed. We look forward to receiving your application next year!
Eligibility
To be eligible for financial assistance from CASA, you must meet the following criteria:

Identify as a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community: You must self-identify as belonging to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Be 18 years of age or older: You must be at least 18 years old on the date of application

Be a resident of Calgary Metropolitan Area - including but not limited to Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, and the Tsuut’ina Nation.

Self Declaration of Financial Need:

Provide a self declaration of your financial need in your application email. All requests will be treated with confidentiality and respect.

Example of Self Declaration:
I am currently experiencing financial barriers that make it difficult for me to participate in the CASA league. I am seeking support to help cover costs so I can participate in the 2026 CASA season. Thank you for considering my request with understanding and confidentiality.

How to apply
If you are interested in applying for financial assistance from CASA, please send an email to info@casaleague.ca. In your email, please include your name, e-mail address, self-declaration of financial need, and if you are a new player or returning to CASA.
Applications must be submitted to CASA by Friday, February 13th, 2026
Notification of successful applicants will be provided by Monday, February 16th, 2026.
Selection process
Applications for financial assistance are reviewed on a first-come-first-served basis. Due to the limited number of spots available we encourage you to apply early.
Important Note: Approval for financial assistance does not guarantee a spot on the league – applicants will need to follow the sign-up process and input the sponsored code at checkout.
Confidentiality
All information submitted as part of the financial assistance application process will be kept confidential by CASA.
