SUBS

Commitment issues? Try being a sub this season.

If you sign up as a sub, we can't guarantee that you will be called to play a game during the season, but that captains will reach out on an as-needed basis. There are no fees required for being a sub and captains will do the best they can to give notice before each game where a sub is needed. By registering as a sub, players are agreeing to have their contact information given out to any team captain who contacts the CASA board that is in need of a sub.

WAITLIST

If you didn't snag a sport during the main registration, you still have a chance to play!

We strongly encourage you to join the waitlist, as many players are called up each season. There's no fee to sign up, and you won't have to pay until you are contacted to join a team, though fees may be adjusted based on when you enter the season. While there are no guarantees you'll play, captains frequently reach out to waitlist players as needed.

BUDDY SYSTEM

The CASA Buddy System allows players to request to be drafted onto the same team as a friend or partner. To ensure this, both players must explicitly request each other as their "buddy" on their individual registration forms. This system aims to enhance the social aspect of the league by allowing friends to play together.

Players can update or modify their buddy requests by emailing the league at info@casaleague.ca between registration and the draft.

Please note that buddy requests or changes will not be accommodated after the team announcement party.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

CASA is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all 2SLGBTQ+ individuals who are passionate about softball. We understand that financial barriers can sometimes prevent people from participating in sports leagues. To address this challenge, we are proud to offer a financial assistance program to help eligible 2SLGBTQ+ individuals 18 years and older living in Calgary, AB, cover the costs associated with joining our league.
