MX CASA
MXCASA-04.png

MX CASA is our biggest social event of the year. Our leagues amateur KINGs & QUEENs go head to head to help raise funds for local LGBTQ2S+ non for profits that support our Calgary community. This year, with the help our our CASA Kings & Queens, we raised over $11,000, and have raised over $36,000 all the years of MX CASA. Local drag Kings and Queens will help prepare our CASA Kings and Queens for their first drag performances.

The beloved Queen Karla Marx hosted this years MX CASA! Karla Marx, Calgary’s Most Naked Drag Queen, has the eye of the tiger and the mouth of a teamster! Karla is the mother of the Marx Werk Ware Haus, a board member of Cabaret Calgary, and performs drag, burlesque, and stand up comedy across Canada. She recently performed at the Hollywood Burlesque Festival, and just finished a tour of the UK and France. Karla was voted Best Host by Imperial Burlesque Canada in 2022 and placed second in the Draglesque category. She recently starred in Comedy Invasion, a comedy TV showcase available on Amazon Prime and Tubi. Who better to host our own Kings and Queens than this stunning performer!

Join us this year as we crown the 2024 MX CASA King or Queen. Tip your favourite King or Queen as they death drop (or geriatric fall) in support of Stonewall Recovery Center an incredibly important organization in our community.
